Lisa Wurtz   

Lisa

Mrs. Lisa Marie Wurtz, Lead Teacher of World Languages holds certification in Spanish, Italian and ELL (English to speakers of other languages) and is currently teaching Spanish levels 1-5.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Following high school, she attended S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook for four years, with some of her time studying abroad in Rome, Italy. In 1991, she graduated with a B.A. in Linguistics.  She then taught at her former high school for a few years, then got married in 1994 and relocated with her husband to Hancock, MD. Since then, she has taught at Hancock HS, Boonsboro HS, Hagerstown Community College and Northern Middle School.  She and her husband have four children and live in Chambersburg, PA. Señora Wurtz has many hobbies including scrapbooking, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family. 

 


Julie Pisacano       

Julie Pisacano

Mrs. Julie Pisacano grew up in a suburb of Syracuse, New York (Go Orangemen!). She graduated in 2005 from SUNY Cortland in Cortland, New York with a BA in French. She was lucky enough to spend 6 months at the Université de La Rochelle in La Rochelle, France in 2004. She went on to further her education at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. She received a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Stony Brook in 2007. She began her teaching career as a middle school French teacher in New York. She and her husband decided to make a big change and moved further south in 2012, at which time she began working at BISFA. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking and swimming.  She is head over heels for her husband and her two little boys.
