I am very excited to begin my new adventure at the BISFA and in WCPS. I will be teaching Physics, Chemistry and Integrated Physics and Chemistry this year.  I have been teaching for 17+ years.  I have taught all levels of school, elementary, middle, and high, in both public and private settings.  I also teach Physics and Earth and Space Science at Shepherd University as an adjunct instructor.  I was a professor in the Geology, Physics, and Education Departments at Hagerstown Community College and a professor at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College for over 10+ years where I designed the Technical Physics course in the Mechatronics program.  In the past, I have taught in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Carroll Counties, MD, as well as in Jefferson County, WV. I love teaching, meeting new people, and learning new things! On a personal note, my husband of 37 years, and I have 4 adult children - 3 sons and a daughter.  We live in Harpers Ferry on a mini farm with lots of different animals.   My animals are my pets, not food, and they make me happy!  On a side note: I am a vegetarian.  I am a board member of the Friends National Conservation Training Center, a member of the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education, and a Maryland Service-Learning Fellow (Teacher/Faculty Service-Learning Leadership Trainer). In addition, I am vice-president of Trego Mountain Nature Center where many WCPS students complete service-learning hours.  I am very much looking forward to working with everyone here at BISFA.
