Frequently Asked Questions about the WCPS Health Center

Why Did WCPS Establish the Center?

WCPS is deeply committed to promoting wellness and healthier lifestyles through comprehensive wellness programs. We are partnering with Everside Health (currently merging with and will soon be operating as Marathon Health) for this endeavor. WCPS believes Everside’s (Marathon’s) providers share this commitment and will help us achieve these goals by providing better care, more time with medical providers, and on-site access to basic medications and laboratory services.

The center is funded by the WCPS self-insurance fund, not the general budget, and is a model that’s been implemented in several counties across the state. Financial modeling shows the clinic could be saving $3 million per year by the end of the five-year contract. It is WCPS’ goal to keep medical premiums low for employees with this cost-savings.

Meet the Providers

The WCPS Health Center is a partnership between the district and Marathon Health. Marathon Health and Everside Health recently concluded a merger and will operate as Marathon Health. As their transition continues, you will likely see information from both Marathon Health and Everside Health regarding the WCPS Health Center.
