Mr. Hutzel and students sell custom-made metal signs
Posted December 6, 2018
Hancock Middle Senior High Tech Ed teacher Jason Hutzel and his carpentry students have been making custom metal signs this year. In addition to creating signs with each staff member's name to hang by classroom doors, the class has offered the signs for sale, accepting custom orders for family name signs and other special requests. The project caught the attention of many holiday shoppers on a recent weekend when the class displayed them at the Hagerstown City Market. The market booth was arranged in collaboration with North Hagerstown High School's hospitality and tourism program, which coordinated a special city market event as an initative to revitalize the downtown farmers market. Check out the images below showcasing some of the students' creations.
