WCPS Part of Micah's Backpack Dedication Ceremony at M.C.I.

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 25, 2018) – A dedication ceremony was held today at the Maryland Correctional Institution (M.C.I.), Hagerstown, featuring representatives of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Washington County Public Schools (WCPS), Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) and Micah’s Backpack. A special metal collection box was constructed by M.C.I. inmates to accommodate ongoing donations of food items to the Micah’s Backpack program. The program is designed to collect and distribute food to students and families in need in Washington County.
