Second Round of Children In Need Clothing Drive: November 11 - 22

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 8, 2019) – The second round of the 13th annual clothing drive conducted by Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) to benefit Children In Need begins Monday, November 11, 2019 and continues through Friday, November 22. Students, parents, WCPS staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools participating in the November 2019 collection are:

  • Antietam Academy
  • Barbara Ingram School for the Arts
  • Bester Elementary
  • Boonsboro Elementary, Middle and High
  • E. Russell Hicks Middle
  • Emma K. Doub Elementary
  • Funkstown Elementary
  • South Hagerstown High
  • Washington County Technical High

Collection boxes will be located at each school, the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown and Head Start at the MLK. Center, 131 West North Avenue, Hagerstown, during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. The clothing drive will continue at other schools during the school year. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
