Boonsboro Middle School Counseling Center Mission Statement

The mission of the Boonsboro Middle School Counseling Center is to enhance academic, career, and personal/social development of all students through a comprehensive guidance program. In partnership with educators, parents and the community, school counselors will advocate for all students and facilitate the programs necessary to ensure responsible, lifelong learners.

Philosophy Statement

Boonsboro Middle School Counselors believe:

  • Our students have great potential and need to be provided with a supportive environment to learn and achieve academically.

  • All students have access to the comprehensive guidance program available at Boonsboro Middle School.

  • Counseling lessons and programs should be planned, implemented, and evaluated to support the school, county, and American School Counseling Association goals.

  • Working with all stakeholders (parents, teachers, administrators, community members) will help provide for the academic, career, and social development of all students.

The Boonsboro Middle School Comprehensive Guidance Program should:

  • Ensure a delivery system that provides a school guidance curriculum, individual student planning, responsive services and systems support.

  • Use data to evaluate future program development and monitor student progress.
