Washington County Board of Education is Seeking Public Comment on Proposed Changes to the Honor Rolls & Graduation Honors Policy

This information was updated on January 21, 2023, to reflect that the second reading of Policy IKD will be on the business meeting agenda for February 21, 2023. This article also includes the Policy Committee's next meeting date. 

On January 17, 2023, the Washington County Board of Education (“Board”) approved the first reading of proposed changes to Policy IKD, entitled “Honor Rolls and Graduation Honors.”

The Board’s Policy Committee (“Committee”) is seeking comments from the community at this time on the proposed changes to the policy, which is attached.  You may submit your comments electronically or by U.S. mail on or before February 14, 2023, to the members of the Committee and to the staff liaison to the Committee at the following addresses:

The Policy Committee will meet next on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Center for Education Services. The Committee anticipates submitting the proposed changes to Policy IKD to the Board of Education at its public business meeting on February 21, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. for the second reading and the Board’s final review and approval.
