(2/2) WCBOE Seeking Public Comment on Proposed Policy Changes

Hagerstown, MD (May 5, 2021) - On May 4, 2021, the Board of Education of Washington County (Board) approved the first reading of proposed changes to Policy JC, entitled “Permission to Attend School Out of Home School Attendance Area.”

The Board’s Policy Committee (Committee) is seeking comments from the community at this time on the proposed changes, which are linked on this page to the right.  You may submit your comments on or before May 20, 2021, electronically to the members of the Committee and to the staff liaison to the Committee.  The e-mail addresses are as follows:

The Board of Education’s Policy Review and Development Committee will review the policy and any comments related to the proposed changes at its public work session on May 25, 2021.  It is anticipated that the policy will then be submitted to the Board of Education at its public business meeting on June 1, 2021, for the second reading and the Board’s final review and approval.
