About our services

The Food & Nutrition Services Department operates several federal and state food programs. The department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to serving the needs of students. The program is designed to operate on a non-profit basis through financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, reimbursements from the state of Maryland, and receipts from sales in school cafeterias. The department believes that properly nourishing students maximizes their learning experiences and always putting students first!

School Meals must meet strict federal  standards based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. The program is staffed with people who take pride in meeting the nutritional needs of the students. We offer a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, low fat milk, whole grains, and protein.
