The Boonsboro Alternative Styles String Orchestra is an extra-curricular ensemble that plays non-classical orchestra music.  Some of our previous selections include Irish fiddle music, country music, rock music, jazz music, and more!  This ensemble is open to any string player and meets after school on Tuesdays 3:45-4:45pm.  We perform in both the Winter and Spring Orchestra Concerts we well as out in the community as the opportunities are available.  Students do not have to be enrolled in the orchestra class to participate, but participation in the ensemble does not qualify students for County and State level events.
