Dance

The Dance Program is a comprehensive curriculum of classes in traditional ballet, modern, and jazz techniques that prepares students for advanced college-level dance programs, as well as for future work with professional dance companies.

    Keleah Barr

    Keleah Kidwell

    Keleah Barr is from Martinsburg, WV. She attended North Carolina School for the Arts for high school and went on to Point Park University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Ballet and Contemporary Jazz. After college, she danced professionally in Chicago and Paris before returning back to WV and now teaches al BISFA and Dance Dimensions of Hedgesville, WV.

     

    Toby Towson                    

    Dance Adjunct Teacher

    Toby Towson has been teaching dance in WCPS for over ten years and is happy to be an adjunct dance teacher at BISFA.  Following competitive gymnastics at Michigan State University where he earned a B.A. in psychology and won several national championships in men’s floor exercise gymnastics, Toby danced professionally in NYC for 22 years and also performed as the original Barkley the Dog on television’s Sesame Street.  Since then he received his M.Ed. from University of Maryland and married Kathy Talbott with whom he is a delighted parent of three daughters, Ella and twins Anya and Eva.
