Magnet Program for the Arts and Academic Excellence
Fountaindale magnet students learn to “create, collaborate, and challenge the status quo” as they build individual strengths and talents, working through the curriculum at an accelerated pace that is one to two years above grade level. Students frequently engage in vertical learning experiences, allowing them to collaborate with peers based on common interests and abilities. Students create meaning as they explore the arts through individual experiences and learning processes, including visual arts, movement and music, making connections to broaden and enhance their understanding of academic content and concepts.
Our school’s on-campus Outdoor Learning Lab allows S.T.E.A.M. to come to life. Fountaindale students collaborate and challenge the status quo by participating in community-based problem-solving activities including S.T.E.A.M. instruction, integrating science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.
