FAFSA and Financial Aid Workshops Scheduled in February

Posted February 8, 2018

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 8, 2018) – A series of free workshops will be offered at schools and the Center for Education Services (CES) this month so 12th grade students and graduating 11th grade students can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and gain information about available financial aid. Students and parents are welcome at any of the following workshops:

  • February 13 – Smithsburg High (4 – 6 p.m.)
  • February 20 – Clear Spring High (4 – 7 p.m.)
  • February 22 – Center for Education Services (10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown) (6 – 8 p.m.)

The February 22nd workshop at the CES will also be presented as a live stream via www.wcpsmd.com so that students and families at home and other locations will be able to follow the guidance of Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) staff members who are providing assistance in completing the FAFSA and sharing information about available scholarship opportunities. In addition, families will be able to interact with workshop staff via Facebook Live on the WCPS Facebook page.

Families are encouraged to complete the FAFSA by March 1 in order to qualify for Maryland scholarships and grants.
