Millionaire's Club at Williamsport High School

Posted February 6, 2018

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 6, 2018) – A number of Williamsport High School students are now members of the new Millionaire’s Club. The program offers information and experiences to improve financial literacy and prepare the students for financial independence. Advisor Nicole Ciccarelli has incorporated the program into the Academy of Finance at Williamsport High. The club combines skills development with educational competitions like the national Stock Market Game. In addition, members participate in an annual entrepreneurial project. Students learn budgeting, evaluating financial services, protecting assets and identities, responsible borrowing, career choice and putting investments to work through investment simulations.

Washington County Federal Credit Union is serving as the club’s sponsor. The program was developed by the CU Foundation MD/DC and is available to schools and credit unions nationwide at no charge through the Foundation’s millionairesclub.org website.
