WCPS/Children In Need Clothing Drive In Next Round of Schools

HAGERSTOWN, MD (November 2, 2017) – The 11th annual clothing drive to benefit Children In Need continues in November in Washington County Public Schools, from Monday, November 6 through November 17, 2017. Students, parents, staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools participating in the November 2017 collection are:

  • Antietam Academy
  • Barbara Ingram School for the Arts
  • Bester Elementary
  • Boonsboro Elementary, Middle and High
  • E. Russell Hicks Middle
  • Emma K. Doub Elementary
  • Funkstown Primary
  • Sharpsburg Elementary
  • South Hagerstown High
  • Washington County Technical High

Collection boxes will be located at each school, the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown and Head Start at 40 Elgin Boulevard, Hagerstown, during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. The clothing drive will continue at other schools during the school year. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
