Bester Elementary PTA Comfy Cozy Night – The PTA is looking for volunteers to assist with our upcoming event.  Our 3rd Annual Comfy Cozy Night will be held on Wednesday, December 6th from 6:30-8:00pm.  Volunteers are needed to assist with holiday crafts as well as family fun activities.  You must be at Bester by 5:00pm on December 1st to decorate and prepare for the evening.  Please email Mrs. Franklin at if you are interested in volunteering.

Main Street Hagerstown is hosting a Christkindle Market event downtown on December 2nd and need volunteers to help staff the kids area and put wristbands on the kids. If a student is interested in volunteering for one of those slots the signup can be found here: The group also needs help in putting stickers on the shopping bags that they purchased for this event. ARC “Caring Hands Gift Wrap” – The wrapping station opens Friday, Nov. 24th until Sunday, Dec. 24th at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown.  Earn SSL hours wrapping gifts to benefit the American Red Cross.  Register a group online at For questions or issues please call 301-739-0717 ext. 201 or email

Attention Youth Hunters:  Donate your deer to help hunt down hunger!  Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry pays the meat processing bill and gives the meat to food banks and programs that feed the needy.  To donate and earn SSL hours call 301-739-3000 or email  Ernst Country Market (Clear Spring), Holsinger’s Meat Market (Maugansville) and Sunnyland/Ray Burger’s (Williamsport) participate in this program.  Call today to set up donations.

Cedar Lawn Memorial Park-Festival of Lights Luminaire Ceremony is Saturday, Dec. 9th at 3:30 PM.  Students are needed to help light candles.  All interested student should contact Terica Welch at 301-733-6682 to volunteer.
