HAGERSTOWN, MD (September 21, 2017) - The Washington County Educational Support Personnel (WCESP) and Washington County Teachers Association (WCTA) have both ratified the terms of the new employee negotiated agreements among each group’s membership.

The terms will now be presented to the Washington County Board of Education (BOE) for a formal vote on the agreements at the BOE Meeting on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, which will be held in the auditorium of the Center for Education Services at 10435 Downsville Pike at 6 p.m.

The full content of the agreements for both employee units was open for negotiation, as was salary. The negotiations for WCTA and WCESP began in October 2016. The details of the agreements will be available for review soon following the BOE vote. The agreement between the BOE and Administrators & Supervisors was ratified in April of this year.
