Hagerstown, MD (November 2, 2016) - Parents of children with special needs are invited to a workshop focusing on estate planning and letters of intent at Funkstown Elementary School on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 6 - 9 p.m. Attorney Michael Day will present information about special needs trusts and the importance of power of attorney versus guardianship and advance directives. Joan Knode will discuss the transition of children after they leave the school system and Toni Nelson with the Family Support Resource Center will help parents create a template in order to organize important papers and information about their children, including special likes and dislikes, to retain on a CD.
