The Wind Ensemble is the premier concert ensemble at BHS.  Students are typically in grades 10-12, and are placed in the ensemble based on auditions throughout their high school career and director recommendation.  Students focus on advanced musical concepts and skills, and typically perform music at a Grade 4 or 5 level on the Maryland Music Educator's Graded Repertoire list.  The Wind Ensemble has received superior ratings at the Washington County and Maryland State Large Ensemble Festival, and has been named the Grand Champion of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Concert Festival in Winchester, VA.
