The following links are to subscription online resources. Unlike most Internet content, these resources are not freely available to the general public. Your right to access these resources has been paid for by either Washington County Public Schools, the Washington County Free Library or the State of Maryland. Because they are not free, you may need to supply a password or library card number to access these resources. See your school library media specialist.

  • Interactive, browser-based digital books that feature easy navigation tools and enhanced content such as read-to-me audio that supports readers of all types and ages
  • Books can be accessed directly through this URL or through MARC records in the school’s library catalog.
  • Books can be read online or can be downloaded into the Capstone Interactive app for offline use (up to 20 books).

• Portal to all CultureGrams editions: World, States, Kids, and Provinces.
• Concise, reliable, and up-to-date reports provide cultural, historical and geographical information supporting a wide range of readers.
• Includes video clips and slideshows, a worldwide photo gallery, interviews with adults and children, and a unique recipe collection with five local recipes for each country.

  • Flipster provides access to the current issue of subscriptions plus all back issues.
