WCPS Working to Correct Phone Issues

Posted April 17, 2018

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 17, 2018) – Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) is asking for parent and community patience as the school system works through a persistent series of technical problems that have been plaguing its phone system in recent weeks. School and office employees have been using alternate means to communicate when phone system outages occur, including cell phone calls and texts, email and social media. Parents and community members are encouraged to work with school staff to coordinate several lines of communication in case of a phone system outage. Current vendor Vonage has been unable to prevent recurring problems. WCPS is working to rectify the issues as quickly as possible.
