WCBOE Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Changes to its Policies on Use and Possession of Tobacco Products

HAGERSTOWN, MD (December 21, 2021)

On December 21, 2021, the Washington County Board of Education (“Board”) approved the first reading of proposed changes to Policy JICG, entitled “Use and Possession of Tobacco Products,” and the first reading to rescind Policy JFLG, entitled “Tobacco Free School Premises.”

The Board’s Policy Committee (“Committee”) is seeking comments from the community at this time on the proposed changes to Policy JICG and the proposed rescission of Policy JFLG, which are attached.  You may submit your comments electronically or by U.S. mail on or before January 3, 2022, to the members of the Committee and to the staff liaison to the Committee at the following addresses:
