Washington County Technical High School to Host Open House

The annual Fall Open House at Washington County Technical High School, a STEM Innovation School, will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Prospective tenth grade students, their families, and the public are welcome to tour the school and learn more about the seventeen specialized programs and academic courses offered at Tech High, which is located at 50 West Oak Ridge Drive, and its Public Service Academy, which is located at 701 Frederick Street in Hagerstown.

The combination of specialized programs and academic courses provides students opportunities to learn skills in technical programs which include the Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science and Engineering,  The Academy of Health Professions,  Culinary Arts, Criminal Justice, Computer Repair and Networking, Cosmetology, Computer Game Development and Animation, Digital Communications, Early Childhood Professions,  Multimedia & Graphic Design, Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, Electrical Construction, Carpentry,  Fire and Rescue Academy, and Homeland Security Global Imaging and Communication Technology.

Many students graduate from Tech High earning both University of Maryland and Career and Technology Education completers. Students also have the opportunity to complete certifications in their fields.
