Tech High Fall Open House on November 8

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 29, 2018) – The annual Fall Open House at Washington County Technical High School, a STEM Innovation School, will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Prospective tenth grade students, their families and the public are welcome to tour the school and learn more about the seventeen specialized programs and academic courses offered at Tech High, at 50 West Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, and its Public Service Academy, at 701 Frederick Street in Hagerstown.

Students gain a broad base of knowledge and skills from the combination of programs and academic courses. The technical programs include: Academy of Health Professions, Automotive Technology, Biomedical Services, Carpentry, Cisco Information Technology Academy, Collision Repair, Computer Game Development and Animation, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Digital Communications, Early Childhood Professions, Electrical Construction, Engineering Academy, Fire and Rescue Academy, Homeland Security, Global Imaging and Communication Technology, Law Enforcement and Multimedia and Graphic Design.

Many students graduate from Tech High earning both University of Maryland and Career and Technology Education completers. Students also have the opportunity to complete certifications in their field.
