Synergy Student System Restored to School Employees

Posted May 17, 2018

Hagerstown, MD (May 17, 2018) - The Synergy Student System is now available to all Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) employees, and operations have been running smoothly as the Technology Department prepares to re-launch the program to parents and students next week.

School administrators, counselors, clerical staff and other support personnel have been working to update student school information. All report card grades for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grading/marking periods have been restored.

WCPS staff developed guidelines for teachers to input assignment grades for 19 school days of the 4th marking period, April 3 - 29. Some teachers maintained an alternate method for recording assignment grades and can simply re-enter them in Synergy. If no alternate record-keeping methods were used, teachers will enter the earliest assignment grades available for the 4th marking period. Teachers will be working with school principals to determine fair grades that take the students’ best interests into consideration if there are missing or incomplete assignments from the 4th marking period.

WCPS looks forward to restoring StudentVUE and ParentVUE access in the next week.
