Successful State SkillsUSA Competition for Tech High

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 17, 2018) – More than half of the Washington County Technical High SkillsUSA team brought home medals from the 2018 State Leadership and Skills Championships this past weekend in Baltimore. Of 67 participants, 36 were awarded medals for first, second or third place. Also, Marjorie Kellman was named Advisor of the Year for the State of Maryland and has been chosen as one of five finalists by the SkillsUSA Board of Directors for SkillsUSA Advisor of the Year. The winner will be announced at the National Leadership and Skills Championships in Louisville, Kentucky in June. The following Tech High students earned medals at the state championships:

    • Team of Christopher Trovinger, Dylan McGill, Maliek Fuller-Williamson – Career Pathways Showcase, Marketing
  • Silver
    • Team of Jessica Monn, Breanna Hose, Karissa Schisler – Crime Scene Investigation
    • Robert Resh – Customer Service
    • Hailee Wilson – Collision Repair
    • Morgan Braithwaite – Criminal Justice
    • Morgan Thompson – Basic Health Care Skills
    • Saylor Doub – Photography
  • Bronze
