Seniors Naviance/Family account

Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

 

  • Please be sure to have your student check their Naviance/Family connection account regularly! This is one form of communication regarding college visits, deadlines, college applications, and events occurring within the school and county.

  • ALL scholarship information is being updated through the Naviance/Family Connection program. Please have your students check in regularly for opportunities.

  • Early Action and Early Decision deadlines are approaching, October 15th and November 1st! Students need to either email me or request a recommendation letter in person. Staff need at least two weeks to write the recommendation letters, please consider this as deadlines are approaching.

  • Please be sure that your student checks their school email. Some of them are being nominated for certain scholarships that have application deadlines soon!

  • When requesting transcripts:

    • Students will need to fill out a transcript release form and turn it into me, before they are able to request a transcript through Naviance/Family Connection.

    • Please be sure to identify how you are applying to the college. Either directly to the institution or via common app. If you are applying through the Common App, please be sure to include in the Common App all the colleges you are applying to. If you request a transcript to be sent to a college through your Naviance/Family Connection page and you say you are applying through Common App, but that college is not listed on your Common App, I cannot send a transcript to that school until you add them.

    • If you are requesting transcripts and/or letters of recommendations through the universities own portal (i.e. Sendedu, coalition etc.), you still need to add that college to your Naviance/Family Connection program.  ALL requests for transcripts and letters of recommendations must go through Naviance/Family Connection.
