HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 26, 2016) – Students entering 7th grade in the 2016-2017 school year who have not completed their required immunizations have an opportunity to receive the vaccines during free, school-based clinics on May 24 and 25. A consent form must be submitted to the school health office prior to any child receiving vaccines at the clinics and it is requested that consent forms be completed and submitted by May 3. A form and related information about the vaccines are being sent home again this week with each 6th grade student. The consent form is also available on the School Health page of the school system website:
The immunizations will be administered by nurses from the Maryland Partnership for Prevention, with the Washington County Health Department providing vaccines and supplies. Additional information can be obtained at each school health office.
