Hagerstown, MD (February 18, 2016) - Parents are invited to Washington County Public Schools’ first Parent University on Tuesday, February 23 at 6 p.m. at South Hagerstown High School. The event will feature a presentation about the school system’s new digital learning plan. After an opening presentation, those attending will be able to visit rooms set up with elementary, middle and high school teachers who will be able to discuss the digital learning plan and answer questions from parents. A room equipped with iPads will allow parents to use the technology and get an idea of what the students will be experiencing. In addition, a room will be available for parents to receive assistance in signing up for and learning how to use the programs, ParentVUE and StudentVUE, which provide access to information such as student grades, attendance records and messages from teachers and the school system.

Parents interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP to Meghan Waters in the Public Information Office at 301.766.2846 or at [email protected].
