HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 15, 2020) – The Washington County Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee (SECAC) is seeking nominations of special education staff members in order recognize excellence in special education for school year 2019-2020. Nominations can be made in five categories: Special Education Teacher (including hearing and vision teachers), Special Education Paraprofessional, Case Manager, Service Provider or Specialist and Friend of Special Education. The Friend category can include any staff member who has a connection to special education and would not fall under the other categories. For example, an administrator, bus driver, food services employee and others may be nominated. Nominations can be submitted online:
