Next Children In Need/WCPS Clothing Drive Scheduled

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 11, 2018) – The 11th annual clothing drive to benefit Children In Need continues this month in Washington County Public Schools, from Monday, April 16 through April 27, 2018. Students, parents, staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools participating in the April 2018 collection are:

  • Boonsboro Elementary, Middle and High
  • Eastern Elementary
  • Fountaindale Elementary
  • Greenbrier Elementary
  • Jonathan Hager Elementary
  • Marshall Street School
  • Maugansville Elementary
  • North Hagerstown High
  • Northern Middle
  • Old Forge Elementary
  • Pangborn Elementary
  • Paramount Elementary
  • Pleasant Valley Elementary
  • Potomac Heights Elementary
  • Ruth Ann Monroe Primary
  • Salem Avenue Elementary
  • Smithsburg Elementary, Middle and High
  • Western Heights Middle

Collection boxes will be located at each school and the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. The clothing drive is conducted in groups of various schools during the school year. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
