Make-Up Day Chosen for November School Closing; January 28 Changed to Full Day for Students; 2 1/2 Hour Early Dismissal on January 25

Posted December 3, 2018

HAGERSTOWN, MD (December 3, 2018) – Washington County Public Schools announces that Monday, January 28, 2019 will be used as a make-up day for students. The day had originally been scheduled as a professional day for staff, when students would not have attended school, but the school closing due to snow on November 15 prompted the change in schedule. Because it is the end of the second marking period, the schedule for Friday, January 25 has been changed from a full day for students to a two-and-a-half hour early dismissal to allow teachers to work on finalizing grades. This year’s school calendar includes days designated for possible make-up within the school year and at the end of the year.
