Fun Summer Learning Opportunities at WCPS

Posted May 19, 2021

Elementary & Middle School Students
WCPS is encouraging students to stay engaged in learning over the summer with unique, creative, and fun camp-style learning opportunities at every elementary and middle school. Students can also choose to attend camps at any school, not just their home school. Camps will be enrolling students through Friday, May 28, 2021.

Check out the website below to see all summer camp programs. Find a camp that is interesting, and contact the school to find out if there are seats available to attend! Some schools may already have camps that are full and cannot take additional students.

Elementary and mIddle schools will also be providing small group and individual tutoring and/or intervention. Call your school if you are interested in having your child participate.

High School Students
The 2021 WCPS High School summer program is available to current high school students and students who will be in high school for the 2021-2022 school year. The summer program provides students with two options: traditional classroom-based courses and blended courses that are taught through online instruction. Traditional classroom based courses are offered at all high schools.  There will be a limited number of courses offered for original credit and several courses offered for repeat credit. Parents and students should communicate with their school counselor about course selection and enrollment.

Meals & Transportation
There is no charge to attend any of the summer opportunities. Students will receive FREE breakfast and lunch if they are at school during breakfast and lunch hours. Buses will pick up students at designated “hub” stops throughout the county for students who are attending in person learning, providing the student is attending within their home school boundary.
