First Student Honors Recital at Washington County Museum on April 10

HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 4, 2016) – The inaugural Student Honors Recital will be held Bowman Recital Hall of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 5 p.m. The museum is located at Hagerstown City Park. The event is jointly sponsored by the Office of Visual and Performing Arts of Washington County Public Schools and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The public is invited and there is no admission charge.

The student musicians who earned the opportunity to perform solos and chamber music are from Boonsboro Middle School, Barbara Ingram School for the Arts and Clear Spring and Williamsport high schools. The students were selected after adjudicators assessed their performances in the March Solo and Ensemble Festivals. The following students will be performing:

  • Bryan Detrow – Baritone Sax
  • Gabriel Evans – Trumpet
  • Alexander Gunther – Violin
  • Nathaniel Hammer – Drum set
  • Leah Howard – Soprano
  • Bethany Norris – Soprano
  • Emmeline Pasquerette – Violin
  • Alicia Rafter – French horn
  • Emily Rochford – Clarinet
  • Jacob Young - Baritone
