February Clothing Drive for Children In Need

HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 1, 2017) – The 10th annual clothing drive to benefit Children In Need continues in  Washington County Public Schools from February 6 – 17, 2017. Students, parents, staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools and programs participating in the February 2017 collection are:

  • Fountaindale Elementary
  • Jonathan Hager Elementary
  • Marshall Street School / Washington County Job Development Program
  • Maugansville Elementary
  • North Hagerstown High
  • Northern Middle
  • Pangborn Elementary
  • Paramount Elementary
  • Potomac Heights Elementary
  • Salem Avenue Elementary
  • Western Heights Middle

Collection boxes will be located at each school and the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. The clothing drive will continue at other schools during the school year. Anyone can also drop off donations at Children In Need, 131 W. North Avenue, Hagerstown, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until noon. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
