Clear Spring and Hancock Teams are Top Finishers in 2018 Envirothon

Hagerstown, MD (April 20, 2018)The 27th annual Washington County Envirothon was held today at the Washington County Public Schools Center for Education Services. Eight school teams from Clear Spring, Hancock and Smithsburg competed. Students were tested in content knowledge and hands-on skills in soil science, aquatics, forestry, wildlife and rangeland management. The Clear Spring High Trailblazers earned first place overall, with the Hancock FFA finishing second. The Washington County Envirothon is an environmental education competition that is facilitated by the Washington County Soil Conservation District, in cooperation with Washington County Public Schools.
