Children In Need Clothing Drive in Schools

HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 29, 2016) – The latest clothing drive for Children In Need will be conducted by Washington County Public Schools  from April 4 - 15, 2016. Students, parents, staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools participating in the April 2016 collection are:

  • Boonsboro Elementary, Middle and High
  • Greenbrier Elementary
  • Pleasant Valley Elementary
  • Smithsburg Elementary, Middle and High
  • Springfield Middle
  • Williamsport Elementary and High

Collection boxes will be located at each school and the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. This is the ninth year that WCPS has supported Children In Need with clothing drives during the school year. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
