Boonsboro High Wins Academic Team Championship

Williamsport, MD (March 7, 2020) - Boonsboro High School won the 2020 Academic Team Championship today at Williamsport High School. The Boonsboro team prevailed over three schools in the finals: second-place Hancock, which finished as runner-up after a double-overtime, tie-breaking battle with North Hagerstown High, and Williamsport, which finished fourth. Each team earned scholarship money for its school, as did Clear Spring, after coming in as the highest-scoring team that did not reach the finals. Clear Spring earned scholarship money from Hagerstown Community College (HCC). The other scholarship sponsors for the event were the HCC Foundation, Nora Roberts Foundation, Washington County Public Schools Education Foundation, Washington County Teachers Association and Washington County Teachers Federal Credit Union. This was the 24th annual academic competition.
