BOE Seeking Public Comment on Proposed Changes to Ethics Policy

Hagerstown, MD (February 9, 2018) - The Washington County Board of Education (BOE), at its February 6, 2018 business meeting, approved the first reading of proposed changes to the following:
- Policy BBFE – Ethics;
- Administrative Regulation BBFE-R – Washington County Board of Education Ethics Regulations;
- Exhibit BBFE-E(1) – Ethics Complaint Reporting Form;
- Exhibit BBFE-E(2) – Lobbying Registration Form and Lobbying Activity Report;
- Exhibit BBFE-E(3) – Financial Disclosure Form A; and
- Exhibit BBFE-E(4) – Financial Disclosure Form B.
The BOE also approved the first reading of proposed Exhibit BBFE-E(5) – Application to Request an Advisory Opinion. Lastly, the BOE approved the suspension of Policy BG – Policy Setting, Article IV.B.1.c.
The Board's Policy Committee is seeking comments from the community on the proposed policy changes, which are displayed as a PDF under Documents to the right of this page.
