BOE Seeking Comment on Proposed Changes to its Freedom of Information/Public Information Act Requests Policy and Proposed Policies for Response to Subpoenas and Research and Data Collection Requests

Hagerstown, MD (November 6, 2019) - The Washington County Board of Education (BOE), at its November 5, 2019 business meeting, approved the first reading of proposed changes to Policy KDB, entitled, "Freedom of Information/Public Information Act Requests," proposed policy KDBA, entitled, "Procedures Governing the Response to a Subpoena or a Subpoena Duces Tecum" and proposed policy KDBB, entitled, "Research and Data Collection Requests," with proposed Exhibit KDBB-E, entitled, "Washington County Public Schools Request for Conducting a Research Study."

The BOE's Policy Committee is seeking comments from the community on the proposed changes policies and exhibit, which are displayed in PDFs under Documents to the right of this page. You may submit your comments on or before November 15, 2019, electronically to the members of the Committee and to the staff liaison to the Committee. The e-mail addresses are as follows:
