BOE Accepting Comments On Proposed Update to School Fund-Raising Policy

Hagerstown, MD (June 30, 2016) - As a result of recent events, the Board of Education’s (BOE) Policy Review and Development Committee conducted several public work sessions for the purpose of examining and updating Board of Education Policy JLA/IGDF, entitled “Fund-Raising in School-Sponsored Activities.”
During the BOE's business meeting on June 21, 2016, the chair of the Policy Committee provided the school community with information on why the current policy must be updated and the process it would be following to provide the school community with an opportunity to offer comments.
Click for a Working Draft of Policy JLA/IGDF, which will be reviewed and discussed at the Policy Committee’s public work session on July 12, 2016, a 9 a.m. in the Board Conference Room at the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown. The public is invited to attend the meeting and to offer comments.
