Annual Career Technology Education Awards

Hagerstown, MD (May 15, 2017) - The 33rd Annual Awards of Excellence in Career Technology Education, a partnership between Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) and Kaplan University, were be presented on Monday, May 15, 2017 at North Hagerstown High School. WCPS career technology education (CTE) teachers have nominated 61 students for recognition as the outstanding student in a specific CTE program. Programs represent ten different career clusters: Arts, Media and Communication; Business Management and Finance; Construction and Development; Consumer Services, Hospitality and Tourism; Environmental, Agriculture and Natural Resources; Health and Biosciences; Human Resource Services; Information Technology; Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology; and Transportation Technologies. Career Research and Development is also included. 

Kaplan University instructors also acknowledged 28 students for their outstanding accomplishments in career technology programs.
