All-County Open House for Academy, Advanced, CTE and Magnet Programs for All Students

Hagerstown, MD (September 12, 2019) - Students from all grade levels and their families will have opportunities to learn about Academy, Advanced, Career Technology Education (CTE) and Magnet programs available in Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) at the annual open house on Monday, September 23, 2019 at South Hagerstown High School. Elementary and middle school programs will be showcased between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Information and exhibits will be available from 5:30 - 6:00 on early child development, magnet programs and enrichment opportunities. An overview of gifted education programs will be presented from 6:05 - 7:00, including early talent development, Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), magnet and merit programs. 

High school programs will be featured between 7:30 and 9:00, and include Academic Leadership Academy, other academies, Advanced Placement, Project Lead the Way, STEMM Technical Middle College, TRiO Upward Bound, Washington County Technical High School, AVID, Barbara Ingram School for the Arts, CTE programs and three separate tracks within the International Baccalaureate Programme.
