42nd Annual Showcase of Marching Bands Postponed Until October 8 at South High

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 2, 2018) – UPDATE: Because of impending inclement weather, Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) has postponed the 42nd   Annual Showcase of Marching Bands until Monday, October 8, 2018, at 7 p.m. at South Hagerstown High School. The Clear Spring High School “Blazer” Band will serve as the host band and will be joined by the marching bands from Boonsboro, North Hagerstown, Smithsburg, South Hagerstown and Williamsport high schools. Each band will present an individual performance, followed by America the Beautiful performed by a mass band conducted by Clear Spring High band director Cara Price.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $4 in advance and can be purchased from the band directors and participating students at each high school. All pre-sale tickets will be honored on October 8. Tickets will also be sold at the gate on the night of the showcase for $5. WCPS senior citizen Gold Cards will be honored.
