12th Annual WCPS Clothing Drive for Children In Need Set to Begin

Hagerstown, MD (September 21, 2018) - The 12th annual clothing drive to benefit Children In Need will begin in Washington County Public Schools on Monday, September 24 and continue through October 5, 2018. Students, parents, staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools participating in the September/October 2018 collection are:

  • Clear Spring Elementary, Middle and High
  • Fountain Rock Elementary
  • Hancock Elementary and Middle/High
  • Hickory Elementary
  • Lincolnshire Elementary
  • Rockland Woods Elementary
  • Springfield Middle
  • Williamsport Elementary and High

Collection boxes will be located at each school, the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown and Head Start at the MLK. Center, 131 West North Avenue, Hagerstown, during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. The clothing drive will continue at other schools during the school year. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
