10th Annual Children In Need Clothing Drive Continues

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 19, 2016) – The second round of the 10th annual clothing drive to benefit Children In Need will begin in Washington County Public Schools on Monday, October 24 and continue through November 4, 2016. Students, parents, staff and the community are encouraged to donate gently used clothing that Children In Need distributes to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meals program. Toiletries, books and school supplies are also accepted. The schools and programs participating in the October/November 2016 collection are:

  • Antietam Academy
  • Barbara Ingram School for the Arts
  • Bester Elementary
  • Boonsboro Elementary, Middle and High
  • E. Russell Hicks Middle
  • Emma K. Doub Elementary
  • Funkstown Elementary
  • Sharpsburg Elementary
  • South Hagerstown High
  • Washington County Technical High

Collection boxes will be located at each school and the Center for Education Services, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, during regular school and business hours. The Maryland Department of Corrections is providing employees to pick up the donations from each location. The clothing drive will continue at other schools during the school year. Children In Need, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(C) 3 organization founded in 1998.
