Welcome back BISFA Families! A special welcome to our new incoming students! We are excited to begin our 14th year at BISFA! As one of the top schools in Maryland, our mission remains to give all students a rigorous, comprehensive, academic program rooted in a pre-professional arts philosophy. Before the first day of school (Monday, August 29), we have scheduled a back to school night to get updates, schedules and preview of the year. There is also a planned Link Crew event for all of our new students to BISFA.

Date: Wednesday, August 17, 2022 | 8:00AM – 12:00PM Location: Barbara Ingram School for the Arts’ 3rd Floor Ballroom
Link Crew Orientation kicks off the school year with a fun-filled educational day that helps you transition into high school! Junior and Senior Link Crew Leaders will welcome you with a sense of safety in a high spirited, anti-bullying environment, and will mentor you throughout your first year of high school. Orientation day is a chance for you to meet new students so that you know a familiar face on the first day of school, bond with others through activities and games, and learn information and strategies that will help you be successful in high school. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, you will need nothing else, travel light! BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT! Our Back to School Night is for students and families to learn more about the workings of our school and changes for the coming year, including specific information on the procedures used by each department as well as the Barbara Ingram Foundation.
Student schedules will be distributed and important updates will be shared.
The date is Thursday, August 25, 2022 to be held at the Bridge of Life Auditorium across the street from BISFA. We will start with the returning students at 6:30. Around 7:00 the returning students will be dismissed to head to the cafeteria for optional additional information regarding classes, clubs and organizations.
The new student presentation will begin at 7:30 in the Bridge of Life Auditorium. At the conclusion - they will be dismissed to go over to the school cafeteria for optional additional information regarding classes, clubs and organizations.
